OpenBrIM Information Modeling Platform | ABOUT US

OpenBrIM platform was formed in 2012 with the goal of creating an open and collaborative information modeling environment, where:

  • a) information owners create and maintain information intuitively in both machine and human readable format;
  • b) and AEC community consume this information via open and efficient protocols.

In 2012, with the leadership of FHWA, we worked with University of Buffalo on OpenBrIM v1. In 2014, again with FHWA support, we worked with CH2M Hill on OpenBrIM v2.

OpenBrIM Platform's development and support is currently lead by Ali Koc, who joined us in 2018; bringing in 20 years of experience in managing engineering software development projects at LARSA; and supporting bridge engineering community at large.

Our management team has over 50 years of combined experience in civil engineering and software development projects -- set out to support the growth of the AEC industry both in US and abroad.

OpenBrIM Platform is supported by a global community of engineers, working tirelessly towards bringing positive change to the AEC community. Please do not hesitate to contact us to learn more on how you can become part of OpenBrIM movement.
